Hot & Windy….

June 23rd, 2013 at 5:05 pm by under Weather

Another day of mainly hot and breezy to windy conditions is ahead on your Monday.  This combination will keep the fire danger very high as we begin the next work week.  There’s still a small chance for some pop-up storm in Eastern New Mexico otherwise most of us will be sitting under Partly Sunny skies with very hot temps.

An area of high pressure is still on track to move over the state by Wednesday.  This will really put a cap on the moisture supply and temps will get even hotter.  In the metro we’ll be sitting close to century mark for highs by mid-week with lows in the upper 60s/lower 70s.

The wind blew hot for what seemed like several hours of high temps breeze today, on June 23rd, in Rio Rancho. No wind at Cochiti Lake Sunday from a boat on the water- submitted to “Report It’ Monday. Thank you for your weather reporting!
