Win Albuquerque behind the scenesJune 22nd, 2013 at 11:01 am by Bill Diven under Community Affairs
A new campaign to promote tourism is offering Albuquerque residents unusual prizes for inviting friends and relatives to come visit.
The Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau is calling its campaign Visit Me In ABQ with residents doing the marketing through free ePostcards.
Weekly prizes range from tequila tastings and private cooking lessons to serving as a Tram tour guide and throwing out the first pitch at an Isotopes game.
“Most of the marketing that we do for our destination is outside of our region, so residents don’t get an opportunity to see how Albuquerque is presented,” Senior Marketing Manager Corrina Smith said in a statement released by ACVB. “This fun campaign encourages our locals to help us promote all that Albuquerque has to offer, tout recent national recognition of the city and have a chance to win some great prizes.”
Details including a list of prizes can be found on the Visit Me In ABQ website.
