More Dry Air and Warm tempsJune 18th, 2013 at 10:31 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
After quiet weather day today across the metro the winds crank up for Wednesday. Wind gusts should top 35 miles an hour in the city with highs in the mid 90s. Blowing dust will be a concern as well as drought dry soil gets picked up by gusty winds and pushed across the valley.
Fire danger will be a major issue as well. With little moisture on the way anytime soon and temperatures on the hot side the fire weather will be very difficult to handle.
Dry conditions and gusty winds will continue again on Thursday with no help from moisture arriving until the weekend at best. And even that weekend arrival of moisture looks shaky at this point. Highs over the next 3 to 4 days top out in the mid 90s with the chance for showers staying off the board until Saturday.
