Better Chance for Scattered Storms Friday…

A back door cold front is going to move into the state tonight and that will kick up the canyon winds in the metro for Thursday night.  They won’t be as strong as they were last Saturday night, but they’ll be picking up tonight as the front moves through.   The front will keep the chance for spot showers and storms going through the overnight.  But, a better chance for showers will come tomorrow afternoon.

That’s because the front will usher in some moisture behind it.  The left over moisture could spark some scattered t-storms all around the state tomorrow afternoon especially after day-time heating starts taking place to create the instability needed to fuel the showers.
