So You’re Telling Me There’s A ChanceMay 8th, 2013 at 8:42 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
That’s exactly what I’m telling you. We have a shot for measurable rain Thursday but more likely Friday over the metro area and point to the east. A storm system will back off to our west. This will set up a healthy east flow over NM and bring in some critical gulf moisture. Add the heat of the day and that moisture will rise up and turn into showers.
The east will be favored for showers on Thursday but the juice will steadily slide east Thursday night and Friday. As this takes place the chance for showers increases from east to west over the state. Here in the city look for the best chance for showers to be Friday afternoon. The east slopes of the northern mountains will benefit most. They could pick periods of steady rain both Thursday and Friday.
