A new campaign to curb underage drinking launches Monday.

It’s called MyInstead and it’s a new interactive website designed to tell kids about how drinking can be dangerous.

New Mexico is at the top of the list of states where kids have a drink before the age of 13.

The campaign includes TV commercials and the website.

”So this whole campaign was built around you know attracting kids with social media website,” Melissa Dosher with NMDOT said. “It’s also interactive, it gives them a chance to produce their own videos and upload them so we’re hoping that this really attracts kids.”

Governor Martinez is expected to unveil the new campaign at Bernalillo Middle School.

Hey, governor, how about focusing on jobs and not feel good stuff like this that any teenager will laugh at? What a waste.
