The annual New Mexico Law Enforcement Memorial Ride this Saturday will have bicyclists pedaling from Albuquerque to Santa Fe.
The 100km ride honoring fallen officers starts with ceremonies at 7:15 a.m. outside the downtown headquarters of the Albuquerque Police Department and the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department.
It ends at the Memorial Wall at the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy in Santa Fe. Closing ceremonies there begin at 2 p.m.
Registration for the rugged and supported ride includes transport back to Albuquerque on the Rail Runner Express.
A 30km ride also is planned ending at the James A. McGrane Jr. Substation in Tijeras.
