BACKGROUND: Eliver Kestler, 36, was arrested Saturday April, 20th in Santa Fe. He is charged with practicing without a license, conspiracy to practice without a license and distribution of a controlled substance (to wit prescription drugs such as Lidocane, Epinephrine, Septocaine and Disprospan –all known to be used in dentistry). Officers met with Kestler on the above date, searched his car and found evidence of an illegal traveling dentistry practice. At that time a victim claimed he paid Kestler $280 to come to his home and provide him with two crowns and four replacement teeth.
During the department’s investigation, Kestler told police he has a dental license out of Mexico, but police have yet to evidence of any such medical license.
So far five people have come forward to file reports in this case including a 45 year-old-woman who contracted a severe infection after Kestler allegedly pulled out her four bottom teeth without cause.
