Warming up with a chance for some showers…April 25th, 2013 at 2:37 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
After a weak low pressure system exits New Mexico Thursday night things will be warming up for the weekend. Temps will be on a gradual climb over the next few days and winds will be on the lighter side.
There are a few chances for some showers in the Northeast and Eastern Plains. One reason will be a weak back door cold front that could create enough lift to spark some showers Friday evening over the Northeast.
Then over the weekend we’ll have southeasterly flow aloft that could push in just enough moisture to trigger some isolated t-storms over the Eastern Plains and Northeast on Saturday. Right now, there’s still some disagreement between the models and how much moisture will actually make it into the state to produce some showers. So it’s something to watch for as we head into the weekend!
