New campaign targets illegal dumping

A multimedia campaign has enlisted 21 New Mexico children to help combat illegal dumping in the Land of Enchantment.

The yearlong effort by local, state and federal partners is dubbed “Protect Our New Mexico–Stop Illegal Dumping.”

It includes radio and TV spots, posters and billboards and both a toll-free phone number and website to report illegal dumping and to find information about one of the state’s chronic problems.

The phone number is 855-NoDumps (855-663-8677), and the website is www.NoDumpsNM.com.

The effort also is looking for local volunteers to help with cleanup projects.  Current local projects beginning on April 22 and continuing into summer are planned for Torreon, Dixon, Anthony, Chamberino, La Union, Chaparral and Roswell.

Gov. Susana Martinez has declared April 18-25 Protect Our New Mexico–Stop Illegal Dumping Week.

  2. Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads
up. The words in your content seem to be running off
the screen in Firefox. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know.
The design look great though! Hope you get the problem resolved
    soon. Many thanks
