Weekend Mostly NiceApril 12th, 2013 at 4:32 pm by John Smith under Weather
Temperatures continue to climb into the upcoming weekend. After being well below average earlier this week, we’ll see afternoon highs 5° – 10° above average across the state.
The northeast and Northern Mountains have the best shot of seeing a couple of spot showers on Saturday as a week front edges into the state. However, the rest of the state will stay dry with partly to mostly sunny skies.
On Sunday, most of the state stays dry, but the winds start to kick up. This will increase the fire danger and decrease visibility as blowing dust will be an issue. A westerly flow will allow temps in the east to soar, with the southeast seeing highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Early next week, another storm will dive toward the state. This one will only bring a few showers to the northern part of the state, but temps will cool down again for the middle of the workweek. However, temps will rebound again into next weekend!
