Unsettled Weather Continues…April 9th, 2013 at 9:56 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
A large trough will slowly slide across New Mexico over the next 36 hours or so. This will lead to scattered mountain snow and a few valley rain showers. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 50′s after a start in the 30′s. One big concern tonight and tomorrow morning will be the possibility of a freeze in the metro and especially in NE NM where a hard freeze warning is in effect.
Wednesday will feature more scattered showers over the north and maybe even a shower or two in the metro. Temps Wednesday night into Thursday will be cold once again. We will rebound with more sunshine on Thursday and warmer temps. Although there is a continued chance for a shower over the north Thursday afternoon.
The long range outlook is quiet with mostly Sunny skies into the weekend. however, the dreaded winds will kick up on Sunday into next week.
