A Chance for Showers, Better Chance for Strong Winds…April 6th, 2013 at 6:40 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
Another low pressure system is still set to slide into the region Monday night into Tuesday. While there’s a slight chance for showers across much of the state more than likely all of us will be experiencing more strong winds rather than rain or snow.
Right now, models are showing much of the precip staying to our north. The best chance for snow/rain will be in the Northern Mountains and Southern Colorado. Otherwise, the chance for precip in the metro and south of I-40 is about 10 percent.
The system will kick up our winds on Monday with gusts up to 50 mph possible in much of New Mexico. So there is high fire danger on Monday. Temps drop below average for Tuesday and Wednesday.
