A Very Cool Sunday Ahead…March 23rd, 2013 at 7:37 pm by chrisgilson under Weather
A strong low pressure system that moved to our north and gave us the very strong, gusty winds on Saturday is moving out of the area for the second half of your weekend. With the system moving out our winds will be much calmer for your Sunday, but still a bit breezy. The picture below shows you just how strong the winds were on Saturday afternoon! The wind was picking up so much dust it was hard to see the Sandia’s from the west side of Albuquerque!
The impacts of the low pressure system will still be felt on your Sunday! Temperatures are going to be well below average. Much of the state will be dipping below freezing or around the freezing mark for overnight lows. High temps on Sunday will only climb into the 40s, 50s, & the 60s in the south. Some spotty light snow showers are still possible in northeast New Mexico. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
