Red Flag Warning for Part of the State…March 18th, 2013 at 11:18 am by chrisgilson under Weather
Winds were really strong all across the state on your Sunday, but there still going to be on the strong side for areas along the eastern slopes of the Central Mountains, the Eastern Highlands and the Eastern Central Plains. Winds will really pick up by the middle of the afternoon and they’ll last into the early evening. So there is a Red Flag Warning for these areas through 7 tonight.
Winds will be sustained from 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph or more at times. Burning anything is not a good idea today with the windy and dry conditions. The winds will relax for your Tuesday before picking up once again by the end of the week when another disturbance moves into the region. Have a good week!
