Quiet Workweek AheadMarch 10th, 2013 at 4:15 pm by John Smith under Weather
After a fairly active start to the weekend, skies have begun to clear Sunday afternoon. However, it continues to be noticeably cooler with temps running about 10° below normal. Clear skies and calmer winds overnight will allow overnight lows to dive. Expect a very chilly start to Monday.
Despite the chilly start, temps will warm quickly throughout the day. Afternoon highs will be about 10° warmer than Sunday highs. As a ridge of high pressure builds into the state, temperatures will continue to warm during the workweek. Highs will reach the 70s in the metro and the 80s in the southeast by the end of the week.
Next weekend’s forecast is a little uncertain at this point. One model wants to clip the northeastern part of the state with a quick storm Saturday night while another model doesn’t show the storm at all. At this point expect at least a little more cloud cover north with slightly cooler temps statewide. More details to come during the week!
