A Storm Closes In…March 6th, 2013 at 10:33 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
Winds will crank up along with soaring temps on Thursday. Highs will be in the low 70′s in the metro area with sw winds 15-25 mph and gusts up 35. Friday a strong Pacific storm closes in and showers will break out over western and northern sections during the day. Snow levels will start off high about 8,000′ but drop into Saturday.
The metro area will mainly see rain showers late Friday and Saturday. They will be scattered though. The west slopes of the northern mountains will pick up most of the snow. 6″+ will be likely there.
