Quiet For Now…March 4th, 2013 at 8:50 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
A small and I mean small ridge of high pressure will build into the area on Tuesday. This ridge will provide us with mostly sunny skies and temps in the 50′s. The ridge will lose its grip by Wednesday but temps will continue to climb through Thursday on the strength of SW winds out ahead of our next big storm. Temps will top out in the metro in the high 60′s with winds topping 30 mph and partly sunny skies.
Friday will be our first day feeling the impacts of the storm. Look for increasing clouds west to east and high mountain snow and rain breaking out in western sections. Here in the metro we could pick up rain showers early Saturday morning and throughout the day as well. As we get closer we will fine tune the impacts but statewide this looks like the most promising storm we’ve had in a while.
