More Wind to Start the WorkweekMarch 3rd, 2013 at 5:32 pm by John Smith under Weather
As a weak storm moves north tonight, expect some snow to develop across the Northern Mountains. This snow will last into Monday, but don’t expect high accumulations. Up to 4″ is possible in the highest terrain.
The rest of the state will see high winds. The highest will be in the eastern part of the state where gusts could exceed 50 mph. Gusts across the west and into the metro will top 40 mph.
Once the storm clears, the weather will quiet down for the middle part of the week. After a big cool down for the east on Tuesday, temps will slowly warm back up through Thursday.
On Friday, the next storm will close in on New Mexico. While temps will start to cool Friday, precip will hold off until late Friday and the weekend. Scattered showers across the entire state will be possible with snow over the high terrain. More details to come throughout the week.
