Metro Court touts another clean auditMarch 2nd, 2013 at 4:41 pm by Bill Diven under Community Affairs
For the fourth consecutive year auditors found zero problems with the bookkeeping at Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court.
The annual audit reported no problems that need correction or future attention, according to a statement released by the court.
“It was extraordinary when we got a clean audit report last year for the third time,” Executive Officer Deborah Williamson said in the statement. “A fourth year with no findings is phenomenal, especially for an organization our size.”
Metro Court is the busiest in the state handling more than 100,000 cases a year while collecting more than $5.6 million in fines and fees and processing more than 20,000 cash and surety bail bonds worth $70 million.
