Winter Storm Moves In TonightFebruary 23rd, 2013 at 7:54 pm by John Smith under Weather
The second half of the weekend will definitely be much different than the first half. A winter storm will move in tonight, leading to more snow across the north. However, the big target area will actually be the eastern plains for Sunday. Winter Storm Watches are up for the east, with 4″+ expected by Monday morning.
The metro could pick up a shower or two as the front crosses Sunday. Behind the front cooler air will rush in. Sunday and Monday will both feature below average temps for the afternoon.
Wind will also be an issue with this storm, with the strongest winds across the south. Wind advisories are up for much of the south where gusts could exceed 55 mph.
The storm quickly clears out during the day Monday. However, another storm will clip the north Tuesday. Most of the precip will stay to the north in Colorado, but another shot of cold air and another windy afternoon are on the way.
The latter half of the workweek will feature more sunshine, less wind, and gradually warming temps.
