Stars ready to shine againFebruary 18th, 2013 at 8:38 pm by vantate under Sports
The New Mexico Stars football team will open trainning camp March 2nd. Head Coach Chris Williams is hoping the change to a new league will spark more fan interest. The Stars competed in the Indoor Football League last season as has since moved to the Lone Star League. Competing in the Lone Star league means playing a game more Areana football style. That means more plays and more last possession situations in what is sure to be a high scoring league. The first game for the Stars is in San Angelo, Texas March 16. The first home game at the Santa Ana Star Center is April 6th.
