A Return to Winter This Week

I hope you have enjoyed the preview of the spring weather this weekend, because that’s all coming to an end by the end of the workweek!

A storm will pass north through Colorado for Monday. Most of the precip will miss New Mexico, though the Northern Mountains could pick up a quick shower. Expect breezy conditions across much of the state. It won’t be a huge wind event by any means, but you will notice the elevated winds, especially through midday. Temps will also cool by a few degrees.

A southwest flow sets up for Tuesday ahead of our next storm. This will allow temps to briefly rebound before the storm moves in Wednesday. Snow will begin to build in during the day Wednesday, and could stay in the higher terrain through the end of the week. If the metro picks up a shower, the best shot will be Wednesday night into early Thursday.

By the end of the week, temps will drop 10° – 20°. This will put our highs closer to where we should be for this time of year.
