No much when you consider the fact that 500 people were murdered in Chicago last year and the weapon of choice was a pistol. A city, by the way, that has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation.

What poilticians cannot seem to get through their heads is more gun control laws mean nothing to a criminal. They are criminals, they care nothing about the law! All stricter gun control laws will do is make it harder for law abiding citizens to purchase a weapon for protection, hunting, whatever the reason they have to want one.

If the system were wide open to anyone criminals would have a field day, they would know exactly whose home to break into to steal guns.
