Time for the five things you need to know before you go…

5) You better buckle up…because it’s “Get Your Clicks on Route 66.” Where until midnight tonight, State Police are cracking down on people not wearing your seat belt. If they catch you it would mean a $25.00 fine.

4) You should not have to give companies your passwords to Facebook, Twitter, and other social media websites. That’s what one state Senator here in New Mexico thinks. Representative Jacob Candelaria is introducing a bill to prevent companies from making you give that info up before they hire you. Six states already enforce the law 15 more are thinking about it.

3) Ditch those jackets later today. Today will be sunny with a high near 54 and a Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Then tonight will mostly clear, with a low around 23 and Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

2) This has got a lot of parents talking…a middle school science teacher in Rio Rancho will not be in the classroom today. He’s suspended accused of roughing up a student in class yesterday. The district won’t say who the teacher is but police say he acted out in anger. He could get fired.

1) Are you ready for some football? We hope so because the Super Bowl is this Sunday right here on Channel 13. The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to go at it at 4:30pm.
