Are You Ready For A StormJanuary 23rd, 2013 at 5:39 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
After a very quiet 10 days over the southwest changes are on the way. A very wet storm system will power toward NM Friday and into Saturday. This system has plenty of moisture to work with so showers over the western half of the state look possible. But this system is not without its issues. The storm itself will weaken as it approaches. So if there is a limiting factor with this storm it will be storm strength. Valley sections will get rain from this storm while mountain sections above 8,000′ will get snow. That really favors the resorts to pick up most of the snow. Here is what the showers look like model wise Saturday around noon.
