APS school opens new classrooms
The Albuquerque Public Schools district has opened a new classroom building at Wherry Elementary School.
This morning there was a celebration at the school on Gibson Boulevard SE.
Second- and third-grade students had been studying in portables, but now they have a new high-tech classroom.
“It’s important to have this project finished so the students know that the public really cares about their education,” Wherry Principal Kathy Harper said.
The project at the 60-year-old school also included parking and student drop-off improvements.

So the school did NOT open a new KINDERGARTEN classrooom, but in fact as your article states, it is a 2nd and 3rd grade room. Please strive for accuracy. I know we do.
Thanks
