Nice Finish to the WeekendJanuary 19th, 2013 at 5:38 pm by John Smith under Weather
The weekend will end just as nice as it started with lots of sunshine and mild temps. However, temps will start to show signs of changing in the east. A dry back door cold front will cross the eastern plains during the afternoon Sunday. This will lead to a slightly cooler start to the workweek east, while the rest of the state continues to stay mild.
The ridge of high pressure that has been making the weather sunny and mild will start to break down during the middle of next week. As this happens, westerly winds will take over allowing temps in the east to boost.
Right now, the next storm system looks to be a little over a week away. It’s possible the month could end with another round of snow north and another shot of colder air. More details on this storm to come over the next several days!
