Hug-a-Thon at Tim’s Place

January 18th, 2013 at 1:45 pm by under Latest Posts

The Albuquerque Restaurant, Tim’s Place, will be holding a Hug-a-Thon Saturday through Monday.

The restaurant’s owner, Tim Harris, is hoping to give out a thousand hugs.

Harris also hopes to raise $5,000 in donations for the Random Acts of Kindness Program sponsored by local firefighters.

Since Tim’s Place opened in 2011, Harris has been keeping track of the hugs he’s given patrons.

Harris may be the only person with Down Syndrome who owns and operates his own place.

Monday is also National Hug Day, which just so happens to be Harris’ birthday.
