Voting begins in APS, CNM elections

Early voting began today for the Feb. 5 board elections for the Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College.

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office says five early voting sites will be open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through Feb. 1 (except for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday Jan. 21).

  • APS City Centre – 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE
  • Bernalillo County Annex (Old Courthouse) – 415 Tijeras Avenue, NW
  • Coors Plaza – 3200 Coors Blvd. NW, Suite A
  • CNM – 1401 Basehart Rd. SE
  • Rio Rancho City Hall – 3200 Civic Center Circle NE, Rio Rancho

On Election Day 56 voting centers will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Absentee voting also is underway, and an application for an absentee ballot can be obtained by calling 243-VOTE (243-8683) or by visiting the county clerk’s My Voter Information site.

APS is electing four board members while CNM has five positions to fill on its governing board.
