Governor Susana Martinez announced today that New Mexico State University has been selected to serve as the Southwest Regional Child Protection Training Center for the National Child Protection Training Center (NCPTC).
The NCPTC provides training and technical assistance to child protection professionals, including prosecutors, law enforcement, and others who work in agencies and institutions focused on child services.
The NCPTC is establishing regional training centers throughout the United States to expand accessibility and availability for training and technical assistance. NMSU is one of the first sites designated by the NCPTC for this purpose.
The southwest training center will serve New Mexico, West Texas, Arizona, and Southern California.
