Time now for the five things you need to know before you go this morning!

5) If your home got foreclosed anytime recently, you could be getting a big check. This is because 10 banks just agreed to a huge settlement with the government worth $8.5-billion dollars. All for complaints that they didn’t follow the rules that they foreclosed on homes. Depending on what happened you could get up to $125,000 back.

4) The big talker today Alabama wins again. Last night they beat up Notre Dame pretty badly in The College Football National Championship by 42 to 14. It’s the third time Alabama’s won the title in the last four years.

3) Switching gears, bad jobs news this morning. Hewlitt-Packard now plans to cut 200 jobs from its plant in Rio Rancho. This is on top of the 50 it cut last year. We know these are well-paying jobs about $50,000 dollars a year and they’ll all go in the next 10 months.

2) Slow down and give yourself a few extra minutes this morning because it’s back to work for tens of thousands of kids in Albuquerque. Just a heads up to look out for busses, kids, and school zones.

1) Today will be another warmer day with a high near 50 and a North wind around 10 mph. Then tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 22 and a Northeast wind around 10 mph.
