Grow grapes, make wineJanuary 5th, 2013 at 11:21 am by Bill Diven under Community Affairs
The basics of planting a vineyard and establishing a winery are on the menu at a workshop later this month in Albuquerque.
New Mexico State University’s Cooperative Extension Service is sponsoring the Jan. 24 event from 1-4 p.m. at the Albuquerque Garden Center, 10120 Lomas Blvd. NE.
Registration can be done online with the $25 fee collected at the door.
In addition to home winemakers, New Mexico has 34 commercial wineries that produce more than 900,000 gallons annually.
Additional details on the workshop are available at the NMSU News Center.
