One Storm Gone, Two More on the WayDecember 25th, 2012 at 4:25 pm by John Smith under Weather
Christmas Day ends with partly to mostly sunny skies as our Christmas Eve storm departs. Expect a cold night despite a fair amount of cloud cover. Wednesday will feature partly cloudy skies before two storms hit north & western New Mexico.
The first storm will arrive late Wednesday and Wednesday night. Light snow is possible over the north and western high terrain, with light rain over the lower terrain. The second storm quickly arrives on the heels of the first Thursday afternoon. This storm will bring a better chance of snow across the north and west. Even some of the lower elevations in the Four Corners could see some snow. The metro will likely have the chance of getting a couple more light rain showers, but no snow.
Both storms clear out Friday, leading to a quiet weekend with partly cloudy skies and a modest warm up.
