Rough travel for Lobos opponentDecember 21st, 2012 at 11:09 pm by vantate under Sports
It was supposed to be just like a regular road trip. South Dakota State’s trip to Albuquerque to face the 16th ranked Lobos had a detour from the normal routine. The team was on a plane in Nashville, Tenneessee ready to go to Chicago when they found out bad weather made a change in plans. The flight to Chicago was canceled, forcing the team to charter a bus for Albuquerque. They arrived Friday. Did they look tired? You bet. They have to face a nationally ranked and undefeated team and play at altitude. It could be a long day Saturday, their 10th day on the road. Give coach Scott Nagy and his crew credit for this one thing. They all said they will not use the long travel as an excuse. Time to play some hoops. The game will be televised on My 50 TV.
