Mayor Berry, Chief Breen, Councilor Sanchez and local Legislators will host a grand opening for Albuquerque’s newest fire stations Friday.
Two bus routes on Central Ave NW will be blocked for about a half hour on Dec. 21, 2012 due to a parade for the Albuquerque Fire Department, organized by Councilor Ken Sanchez’ office.
Routes #766-Rapid Ride Red Line and #66-Central will be blocked from 2:30 to approximately 3 p.m. by a rolling barricade while a parade makes its way in the westbound lanes of Central.
The parade, which will temporarily close off the westbound lanes of Central NW, will run about 10 blocks – from the Southwest Mesa Fire Station (Station #7) at approximately 47th St and Central Ave NW to the new AFD Fire Station at 57th St NW and Central.
Normal service on the #66 and #766 will resume after the parade is over.
