Wintry Weather Moves In!December 19th, 2012 at 7:33 am by Nance Burgin under Latest Posts
Good Wednesday Morning!
Our next winter storm system is moving through today, bringing rain, snow and extreme winds to the state. We currently have widespread warnings and advisories in effect for both the wintry weather and this afternoon’s wind speeds. As the associated cold front moves through, expect cold temperatures and gusts up to 70mph at times. Rain and snow showers will continue passing to the ENE through the rest of the day as well.
Please use extreme caution on the roadways today, especially in the western and northwestern areas of the state. Roads are already snow packed and icy, and with the extreme winds, reduced visibility due to blowing snow will be possible.
This storm will clear out and the sunshine will return by Thursday but the cold temperatures will linger for the next few days.
Be safe and have a wonderful Wednesday!!
