Time now for the five things you need to know before you go!

1) New Mexico Speaker of the House Ben Lujan has died after losing his battle with lung cancer. He passed away at Christus Saint Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe with his wife Carmen and children–including Congressman Ben Ray Lujan–at his side. Lujan Sr. was in the State House since 1975. He was 77 years old.

2) This winter storm is about to sock New Mexico! In the Albuquerque area, you can expect to see blowing snow and scattered snow showers with partly sunny skies. The high will only be near 37-degrees so bundle up! It’ll be very, very windy. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible in Albuquerque. Then tonight will be partly cloudy, with a freezing low around 12-degrees and decreasing winds.

3) For the latest on school closings, check out out homepage and click on the yellow tab titled “Closings and Delays.” They’ll be constantly updated.

4) It’s only been two seasons since the UNM. Pit has been renovated but it’s already falling apart. Stone tiles that were part of the $60-million-dollar renovation are falling off! UNM has now put up banners to keep them from falling on fans.

5) You’ve probably heard a lot about Instagram in the last day or so. First it said it was going to start selling your pictures to make money then it got a huge backlash yesterday and did a complete 180 turnaround. Instagram is a picture sharing website that Facebook now owns.
