Through the evening and overnight hours, the weather will be much quieter across New Mexico. A few lingering snow showers will continue over the Northern Mountains and Southern Colorado through Saturday morning. The activity will pick up again late Saturday morning.

Like the first storm, the second will do a good job of drawing up moisture as it approaches New Mexico. However, the impacts will be more confined. Expect another decent round of snow showers Saturday afternoon across the western and northern high terrain with the west slopes being favored. Additional accumulations of up to 6″ is possible.

The northeast and central New Mexico, including the metro, could see a passing rain/mix shower during the afternoon, but most of the activity will stay north and west.

A few snow showers will linger over the Northern Mountains and Southern Colorado early Sunday before ending in the afternoon. Skies will begin to clear across much of New Mexico leading to a quiet and warmer start to the workweek.
