The Santa Fe National Forest has announced plans for a prescribed burn on about 110 acres in the Borrego Mesa area.

The four-day burn to reduced hazardous fire fuels  is expected to begin Monday, Dec. 10, if weather conditions permit.

Smoke is expected to settle into lower elevations and drainages but lift during the mornings.

The burn area is about two miles east of Córdova and three miles south of Truchas.
