Time for the five things you need to know before you go!

5) If you’re headed out to buy new furniture this weekend here in Albuquerque, don’t go to the Valley Furniture Warehouse. They went bankrupt and closed down. The owners say people who already bought furniture but haven’t had it delivered yet will still get it or will receive a refund.

4) An emotional memorial for a young girl, Hailey Ratliff. She used to go to Tony Hillerman Middle School here in Albuquerque but moved to Novato, California in August. One short month later she was biking home from school and was hit and killed by a car. Today, teachers and students are putting up a ghost bike at Tony Hillerman Middle School in remembrance of Hailey.

3) Investigators say a dangerous fugitive is now behind bars. Investigators caught up with Joe Rodriguez yesterday near his mother’s home in Angel Fire. They say a woman was with him. They’re still trying to find out if he forced her to go with him after a chase earlier this week.

2) Be extremely careful this weekend as you try to stay warm. We’ve already seen a number of fires this year caused by people are trying to heat their homes. Make sure you keep a close eye on fireplaces and space heaters.

1) And your going to need those heaters this weekend! Today will have isolated showers with partly sunny skies and a high near 69. It’ll be breezy, with a southwest wind of 15 to 25 miles-per-hour. The chance of precipitation throughout the day is 10%. The isolated showers will continue into tonight with mostly cloudy skies and a chilly low around 42. The wind will be blowing south at 15 to 20 miles-per-hour.
