Another Warm Day Wednesday…November 6th, 2012 at 5:30 pm by Mark Ronchetti under Weather
Westerly breezes will continue to boost temps through the day on Wednesday with highs in the metro in the 70′s and highs in the eastern plains in the 80′s. Mostly sunny skies will be the rule as well. By Thursday things will begin to change. SW winds will crank up during the day on Thursday and clouds will increase to partly cloudy.
Winds will increase significantly over the state on Friday as the ice cold trough approaches. Scattered snow showers will break out in the northern and western mountains. Cold air will pour across the state over the weekend with highs by Sunday will be our coldest of the season with highs in the metro in the 40′s.
However, precip will be limited. Some west facing slopes could pick up 6″ of snow. But a widespread snow event looks unlikely at this time. We will keep you posted.
