Time for the five things you need to know before you go today!

5) It’s Lobo Basketball time! The team played its first exhibition game last night and won big time beating Victory University 105 to 64.

4) Your chance to help out less fortunate kids this holiday season starts today! The Marines are launching their annual Toys for Tots.

3) People on the East Coast are still cleaning up from all the damage Superstorm Sandy left behind. At least 74 people in the US have died because of the storm and more than 6-million others still don’t have power. A group of Red Cross volunteers from here in New Mexico are on the way to help victims

2) There will be extra police officers at Hoover Middle School in Albuquerque today after the district says a possible shooting was being planned. We should learn more about this today but right now we know they discovered the plot yesterday. The district does not think the threat is credible but is still taking precautions. Three of the six students involved have been suspended.

1) Sunny, with a high near 70 with a calm southwest wind around 5 miles-per-hour. Then tonight it’ll turn to partly cloudy, with a low around 38 degrees and a southwest wind around 5 miles-per-hour.
