City council member, Carmichael Dominguez is proposing Santa Fe’s first “Healthy Food Zone”.

The zone would consist of no drive through restaurants and strict alcohol rules.

The placement of this healthy area would be near the cities airport in the Southwest part of Santa Fe.

Dominguez has stated that his aim with this new proposal is to make an area more attractive and “walk-able”.

The city council will take up the idea in January.
