IRS warns of new online scam

A new tax scam is circulating that mimics part of the Internal Revenue Service website.

The real IRS page offers web-based products for tax preparers, not for the general public

But the IRS says the phony web page looks almost identical to the real one.

Criminals use these fake sites to get personal information that may be used to steal the victim’s money or identity.
