Time for the five things you need to know this morning!

5) Things should be back to normal at Albuquerque Academy today after the school received a bomb threat yesterday. Police say someone called it in from a pay phone so they evacuated the school, searched it, and didn’t find any explosives.

4) You’ll see a lot of extra security at Belen Middle School today after two students there threatened to shoot-up the school today. They were arrested on Wednesday but police and the district are still on-alert today.

3) This morning it looks like there’s no clear winner in last night’s Vice Presidential Debate. Vice President Joe Biden faced off with Congressman Paul Ryan last night and the two clashed on taxes, medicare, social security, and foreign policy.

2) The 12th Annual Race for the Cure is this Sunday. It’s the big breast cancer awareness event and fundraiser. You still have time to register today at Coronado Center and the big walk is Sunday morning at Manzano High School.

1) Showers and thunderstorms are likely for today, but mainly before noon. The skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 73-degrees. It’ll also be a little bit more windy than it has been with an eastern wind of 15 to 30 miles-per-hour. Winds could gust as high as 45 miles-per-hour. Tonight, it will remain partly cloudy, with a chilly low of around 44-degrees. The wind will be blowing west at 25 to 30 miles-per-hour then decreasing to around 15 to 20 miles-per-hour after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 40 miles-per-hour.
