Buses and passionate dancing today
Folks just passing by or catching buses at the Alvarado Transportation Center this afternoon can experience what ABQ Ride calls “the passion that is the art form of Flamenco.”
Two troupes from the Albuquerque-based National Institute of Flamenco are scheduled to perform from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the fountain area near the corner of First Street SW and Central Avenue.
NiƱos Flamencos is the institute’s youngest group of seasoned dancers ages 6 through 14 while Alma Flamenco is considered a semi-professional ensemble and among the top flamenco dancers in the country.
