It’s time for the five things you need to know!

5) Albuquerque police are looking for a Ford Expedition SUV they say hit two girls who were standing near a bus stop. It happened last night around 11:30pm. The girls will be okay.

3) KRQE News 13 will host a debate tonight with U.S. Senate candidates, Democrat Martin Heinrich and Republican Heather Wilson. It will be moderated by Dick Kniffing and will also be streaming live on our website.

2) Take an umbrella with you today! That’s because today there’s a 20-percent chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1:00pm with increasing clouds. The high will be near 75-degrees with a light southeast wind of five to 15 miles-per-hour. Then tonight, the chance of perciptitation will increase to 30-percent, mainly after 7pm. The skies will remain cloudy with a low around 56-degrees, and a southern wind of 15 to 20 miles-per-hour.

1) Police are stepping up patrols indefinitely at Belen Middle School after two students threatened to shoot up the school tomorrow. Those students have been arrested and the school is asking parents to go to class with their children tomorrow as a precaution.
