Time for the five things you need to know before you go this morning!

5) It’s your chance to go see First Lady Michelle Obama. She will be in Durango today speaking at Fort Lewis College. It’s free and open to the public but you do need a ticket.

4) Pay attention to this because it could mean life or death in a car crash. If your car had its airbag replaced in the last three years they could be counterfeit and not work. We will find out which cars and airbags this affects later today.

3) Albuquerque Police are warning people about a very dangerous man on the loose. His name is Aaron James and police say he severely beat his girlfriend and wants to kill her. If you see him, call 911 immediately.

2) An Albuquerque Animal Welfare worker is under investigation for leaving a dog in a city van for two days. Officials with the Animal Welfare Department say one if its employees left the dog in a shuttle van that brings pets to a shelter for surgery. A volunteer found the dog in the van two days after it had surgery. We are told that the dog was dehydrated but is now okay. Since the investigation is ongoing Animal Welfare will not release the worker’s name.

1) You can expect sunny skies today with a high near 77-degrees and an eastern wind of 10 to 15 miles-per-hour. Then tonight expect mostly clear skies with a chilly low of 50-degrees and a southern wind of 5 to 15 miles-per-hour.
