After seeing gusty winds Saturday night, the winds died down enough for a successful balloon launch Sunday morning! The news gets better for the Balloon Fiesta, as much quieter weather will start the workweek. While winds will elevate Monday afternoon, there should be few to no problems for events at the balloon park through at least the first half of the week!
After seeing a cool weekend, a warming trend will commence across much of the state. By Tuesday temps will warm by around 10° in west and central sections, and as much as 20° in the east. This warm up will be accompanied by more sunshine as well!
By late Wednesday, a storm system will begin to move into New Mexico. Expect more showers Thursday and Friday. The storm will pull through the Four Corners and into Colorado. While the rain will end across much of the state by next weekend, gusty winds will again be a concern across the state.
